Mexico Trip 2023

Every other year our high school youth group travels to the outskirts of Tijuana, Mexico where they build houses for families in need. To date our groups have built 18 homes and these trips are a highlight for everyone involved.

Our next trip will be March 25 - April 2, 2023 and we are beyond excited to be able to head back to Mexico
with a group of students to build houses, share Jesus and make memories!

A Letter from Pastor Aaron

Welcome to the MVCC Mexico Trip Information Page.

Our goal is to educate and inform parents/guardians with as many details as possible prior to our trip to build confidence, trust, and excitement for your kids. As you look over this information please feel free to contact us at any time with further questions and concerns.  There is also a ton of great information on the Amor Ministries website.

We have successfully taken 11 bus loads of kids to Mexico and built 20 houses for families in need!  Working alongside Amor Ministries has been truly amazing.  We fully trust them and their organization which has been building homes for needy families in Mexico for 40 years!

They have a great relationship with the local authorities, local churches, and the border patrol.  They are in constant communication with Mexican authorities and will always be looking out for our safety.  We are continually monitoring the safety of travelling to Mexico.  While we can’t know for sure how it will look in March, we are stepping out in faith right now hoping and praying that we will be able to complete a mission trip this coming March.

It’s almost beyond words how special this trip has been for our past youth teams.  I believe it is something that every teenager needs to experience.  We have considered many different trips and we’ve tried some of them, but nothing has proved to be more transformative than a trip to Mexico.  We’ve found that this is the quickest, safest, most cost effective way to get kids into a different culture, a different country, and into a missions experience that will truly impact their lives.  This is why we keep going back and this is why we put so much time and energy into getting families on board.  We have seen how this trip impacts the lives of the families we build for and the students that build!

We hope that you will consider this trip for your high schoolers, and if you don’t feel comfortable sending them on their own we would be happy for some parents to join the leadership team!  This page is just the beginning of the information regarding the trip.  In the future, we will hold a parent meeting along with 2-3 mandatory training sessions for students.  These meetings will cover all the details and will help prepare students spiritually, mentally, and physically for the trip.
