The staff at Mountain View come from a variety of backgrounds but we all share a common commitment to God, family, and ministry. Find out a little more about us below and, in return, we hope to connect with you.

I was called to ministry my junior year at George Fox University. Developing the gifts and abilities came with an MDIV at Western Evangelical Seminary and various ministry opportunities both as a youth pastor at Valley View Evangelical and Oregon City Evangelical with a 6-year privilege as senior pastor in Seattle, WA at Maple Leaf in between. Now God has blessed me and my wife with an awesome church family at MVCC who are eager to serve. Life with Christ is always an adventure and it has been great!

As a teenager, I felt a strong call to pastor and work in the church. I attended Northwest University in Kirkland, WA and received my BA in Church Ministries. After 13 years as a youth and music pastor, my wife and I planted a church with a lot of help! After an 8-year church-planting journey we came on staff at Mountain View. My family -- wife Kim, and two kids, Carter & Hannah -- love the church. We believe in the power of the Gospel of Jesus to change lives and we are excited to see that happen through Mountain View Community Church.

As a seven-footer, most people notice how abnormally tall I am before anything else. But my height does not define me. I am a happy husband, dad of 3 amazing daughters, musician, classic car lover, fisherman, board sport junkie, and, of course, I play basketball. I gave my life to God when I was in high school and was called to be a youth pastor as a senior at Oregon City High School. I joined Jon in the planting of MVCC in 2005 and have been the youth pastor since the beginning. I feel blessed to be a part of what God is doing.

I grew up in church and learned what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus at a very early age. As I grew, God gave me a passion for kids which, at first led me into public education. After graduating from George Fox University with my Master of Arts in Teaching, I taught at the 6th & 7th grade levels for 7 years and loved it. After deciding to take a break from teaching, when our kids were born, Jon presented me with the idea of being a part-time children's director. It was the perfect combination -- Jesus and kids! Outside of my church activities, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and our three kids.

I grew up familiar with church and believe I met Jesus as a preteen, but it wasn't until I was working in a church office in college that I truly gave my life to Him. Since then, I have been grateful for multiple opportunities to serve Him as office coordinator in churches I've called home in the past, as well as at two local faith based non-profits, First Image and Compassion Connect. I am also a well loved wife and mama and a proud Canadian. My husband, Micah, and I are passionate about being connected in the local church and are excited to be a part of MVCC and the work God is doing in O.C.
