Building his kingdom at MVCC

At Mountain View, our heart is to share God's amazing love in our city and around the world.

By doing mission trips abroad, caring for the people in our own community, and investing in the future generation, we are living out our goal to build His kingdom.

Seven smiling Mexican children jumping in the air at Rancho Santa Marta

Mexico: Rancho Santa Marta

Rancho Santa Marta is a home for children and a special education school for the rural area of San Vicente, Baja California, Mexico.  The home is located 60 miles south of Ensenada and 130 miles south of San Diego.  Mountain View has had the privilege of developing relationships with the staff and children at this orphanage.  Every year our adult work parties have the life-changing experience of the Mexican culture while they serve the children and their home.  Click here for more information about our partnership with Rancho Santa Marta.

Our next trip is July 20-25th, 2024!

Email Pastor Brian for more information.

Mexico: Home Construction

Every other year our high school youth group travels to the outskirts of Tijuana, Mexico where they build houses for families in need.
To date they have built 20 homes.

Contact Pastor Aaron Anderson with questions.

Oikos logo reads Oikos: Household of Faith. Giving children a hope and a future. Shapes create the image of an adult holding a childs hand within the silhouette of a house inside the O.

Oikos (Household of faith)

Oikos was created to impact AIDS/HIV orphans in Kenya.  Rather than place orphaned children in an orphanage, the idea of Oikos is for the local family members to rally around the orphans.  As families choose to take the children into their homes, Oikos (and the partner organizations) supply the family with goods that will allow them to take care of their new larger family.  In this way the orphans grow up in a loving family atmosphere and they have a better chance at a bright future.

Mountain View has had the chance to visit a village where Oikos is currently involved providing school clothes, food, and essentials to a home with four boys.  Funds have also been raised toward the drilling of a well for the Hope Station -- a place that provides food, clothing, education, and social activities.

Safe families

Safe Families for Children seeks to bring the church and community together to keep children safe and families together. Safe Families for Children is rooted in faith, fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion, to build a network of caring and compassionate volunteers to support families facing social isolation. Our goal is to support and strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect, and reduce the number of children unnecessarily entering the child welfare system. There are many ways to get involved. If you are interested in getting involved email Heidi Newkirk for more information.
